脇道の先にあるファームステイでも、内陸の谷にあるエコロッジでも、これは変わりません — 医師はご滞在先がどこであっても伺います。
村の薬局と医師の違い

様子を見るよりIV点滴が優れている理由
重症化の転換点は、たいてい飲む速さが失う速さに追いつかなくなったとき、あるいは何を飲んでも受け付けなくなったとき — 水を口にしても、すぐに戻してしまうときです。まさにそれがIV点滴の出番です。生理食塩水と電解質が30〜60分かけて直接血流に送られ、今はうまく機能していない胃を迂回します。長く暑い一日のトレッキングですでに脱水していたところに胃腸炎が加わったようなケースでは特に、点滴が終わる頃には多くの方が劇的な改善を感じます。
これはまた、病院が必要ないケースのためにドンホイまでの移動を試みる必要がないことも意味します — 医師のほうがホームステイまで治療を持ってきてくれます。
